Henry McVeigh's great-great-great nephew, Mike MacVeigh, got in touch to say that Henry was reported to have had 9 or 10 children with Jacoba, but only three - James, Alfred and Henry - grew up. He was made a Knight of the Golden Fleece (Orden del Toisón de Oro) by Queen Isabella II of Spain. There are still descendants of Henry - still with the name McVeigh - living in Madrid.
